I am glad to learn that you have
held your entrance examinations with
greater strictness. For the general good
I think our University ought to be of a
high grade of education while the state
schools should be a character to fit
students for advanced studies. If the
State schools are what they ought to be
they will afford the cheapest possible
education on the student can live at
home during his attendance at school.

We have engaged passage
from Liverpool for October 5th and that
will be too late for any consultation
with you in regard in extended accommodations.
I very much regret that
there should not be dormitory accommodations
for all the young ladies who
desire to attend the University but it
is only a question of time when I will
erect the contemplated dormitory for
the girls according to the original plan.
I am glad you are so hopeful for the
coming year.

Mys Stanford joins me in
kind regards to Mrs. Jordan

Yours Very Truly
