My dear Doctor
I have several letters from you unanswered but I have concluded to defer answering them until i can see you in person which will be very shortly as I expect to start for California n the 1st of April. My visit out there is mainly to see you and converse with you about the University and its needs. It is my intention to visit Europe this Summer.
We hope to have the pleasure of meeting President White while we are in California as I see by the papers that he will probably be there in April.
