rooms then or have a car for us. Our only object in going to Kissinger is to see you and Mrs Stanford & we shall probably only remain a day so, it will not matter much what accomodation we have. We deeply appreciate your kindness, however.
I am unable to say just what day we will be in Kissinger, but we will surely be there before you leave, in the meantime Ida joins me in affectionate regards for you and Mrs Stanford

My Dear Senator
I have just now received your second telegram, in which you ask when "when we will be in Kissinger." The telegram was forwarded from the Legation to me which is the cause of my delay in answering. I had written already begging that

you and Mrs Stanford would take no trouble whatever about our visit to Kissinger as we were going to stop by for a day to see you. As to the time of our being there, we hope to crash Kissinger about next Monday or Tuesday if all goes well with us, and then we will take any rooms that we may find, for our short stay

there. As we have a great deal of travelling to do during my short leave of absence I do not remain long at any place.
Ida and I are both delighted at the prospect of seeing you & Mrs Stanford. We join in the warmest regards for you both and turst in stopping by to call upon you
