Dear Sirs

The undersigned
earnestly recommend the appointments
of Miss Annie P. Forman
as an employe in the Mint. The
lady is a daughter of Colonel Ferris
Forman formerly Secretary of the State
of California and more recently Colonel
of one of the California Regiments during
the late war. Colonel Forman in the
Mexican war, Commanded the Third
Illinois Regiment, and came to this
Territory in 1849. The appointment
of Miss Forman would gratify a
large number of the Pioneers of
the State and the signers of the
Memorial. The lady is active, industrious,
intelligent and accomplished.
