Dear Mother and Daddy,

I have just gotten back from going to a wedding with Kay, Ruth, and Sally [J.?]. The girl that got maried was a girl named Joan [Fullenweiler?]. I never knew her very well. She was a sponsor in Roble when I was there. It was very nice of her to think of asking me but it was the oddest wedding I have ever seen. They didn't play the usual wedding march and they didn't kiss at the end. The bridesmaids' dresses were just awful, but it was nevertheless a very nice wedding because everyone looked extraordinarily happy.

I'm very sorry that I didn't write sooner but it just seemed that I was busy every minute. The candy has come and gone - it was certainly delicious. Neither Sally, Jane or Ruth got any -

but they also certainly enjoyed mine. It was so nice of you to think of sending it to me.

My date with Bob turned out just perfectly. We both had a wonderful time; any way I did and he seemed to too. It was just as though we had regressed a year and it was a date last spring instead. He was much more talkative than usual and seemed to put himself out more to entertain me. Harvey was even better the second time I saw it. I wore my new pink dress. I think it looked very nice. I think the main reason that we both had such a wonderful time was that we didn't refer to the situation. On the next day which was Valentines Day, he sent me a dozen roses. I was absolutely floored. I was the only girl in this house that got any and I was so

pleased. I called him up to thank him, and he seemed pleased that I called. He asked if he could call again soon, and of course I said yes, so he said I would be hearinf again from him soon. Things look very well; I only wish that they could stay this way, but I just know that they won't. I'm doing now what is known as impossible. I'm having my cake and eating it at the same time. Pretty soon I'm not going to have even a little crumb left. Johnny Fulton has come over every single day for a week and a half. On Monday night he came over and we studied and at ten we went out for a coke. We did the same thing on Tuesday. On Wednesday he came over in the afternoon and wanted me to go for a walk with him

in the hills because it was such a very beautiful day, but I couldn't go because of going out with Bob and besides I had a psychology test to study for. He came over twice Thursday afternoon, but I didn't see him. On Friday I was walking up the street and he drove by in his little car so he stopped and drove me home. He insisted that I get his music and go and play his piece for him. I still can't play it very well, but it was better. The next time I think I shall be able to play it right. He had another piece for me, in fact he had two, but he says he is just going to give me one a week and he insists that I learn a piece a week. He doesn't seem to think that the number of pieces that I play for the number of years that I have taken is adequate. It wouldn't

really be so bad, but he means business. He drags me over to the Women's club house, sits me down at the piano and sits there while I practice. He won't say a word except to tell me to play it over and over again or to try and play without the music. It really is just hysterical - I'm sure you would die laughing if you saw us. This last piece is Ravel's "Bolers" and is just a wonderful piece and I'd love to know how to play it, but I'm afraid that he overestimates my abilities. If he only couldn't tell when I made mistakes. I went to the movies with him last night and I finally found out one of the races he won. They were showing some movies in the newsreel of the national track meet at Madison Square
