Dear Mother and Daddy,

Well a miracle has happened. I got an A in a psychology test and if I can work things right I think I can get a B in the course after all. I can take a make-up test on Thursday and have it count instead of my worst grade. If I study hard for it and get either an A or a B in both the make-up and the final, I can definitely get a [B?] in the course. Any way I am certainly going to try; I'm starting to study for it tonight. Things are difinitely looking up. We have to draw tonight to see where we move to next quarter. We are just hoping and praying that it is the D.G. house, and we have as good a chance as we are ever going to get.

We have certainly waited a long time, and I certainly think it's about time we got in since it means so much to us.

I didn't particularly care for either of the boys I went out with last weekend. Carl Burk was the nicer of the two, although there was certainly nothing wrong with either of them. On Friday night I went out to dinner with him and another couple, and had practically the most divine dinner I've ever had. The we went to an affair here on campus called Circus night. There was dancing and fortune telling, and all sorts of little concessions. It was really awfully nice, and Carl was too, just nothing spectacular was all. On Saturday I went with

Kent Fuller to the Sophomore Cotilion and wore my yellow formal. It was as big a hit as ever. He got to be rather dull, but I did get in some rather [strenuous?] dancing - he was an excellent dancer, and it's been a long time since I've danced with anyone good. Saturday afternoon, also Friday afternoon I saw John Fulton for about an hour, he came over after lunck and wanted me to play him the pieces he had brought me. I was finally able to play one of them. He also brought me a book of Chopin pieces which are just divine and which he claims he expects me to play from cover to cover. hump! When I was coming back I met Bob, and the three of us had a rather strained conversation;

he was going to play tennis with a girl across the street. But the next day he called and asked me to play tennis and we had a lovely game! Of course he won again 6-1, but I gave him quite a few deuce games; so I guess I didn't play too badly. Then we went for a long walk trying to find a lake but we were never able to find it; however that didn't bother me too much. There is certainly a lot of beautiful country around here - especially now that everything is green, and the weather was just about the most beautiful I've ever seen. We had dinner with Kay and Bill and I had a most wonderful steak. I'm also going to go to the symphony with him next weekend. I was supposed to go on a [Fi Tee?] party with

a boy named Andy [Schoetky?], but I broke the date. I hope it was all right; it should have been because I don't really know him. But I'm definitely not going to make a practice of doing it.

I'm afraid that you had better prepare for Ruth. I hope you won't be sorry you siad she could come, but I'm sure you will think she is a very nice house guest. We will probably come down on the Daylight on the 23rd of March. It's a Saturday. We will have to go back on the Sunday of the next week. Ruth will not stay, for Kay, [Teach?], and Sally will all want her
