Dear Mother and Daddy,

I've been to all my classes now and I've found them all very interesting - I've already taken pages and pages of notes, and I'm even going to have a paper due next week. I can see that I'm swamped with work already

Bob came down again last Thursday, and I spent the afternoon with him. But he helped me with my German; so it was very profitable. I had a date with John Fulton last night which was a lot more fun than I have anticipated. But somehow I feel that I won't be going out with him too much longer; he amazed me no end. It seems he was much more interested in me than I ever

even imagined. I'm going but with Bob tonight.

I want you to know that I weigh about 114 and Ruth was able to gain the 5 pounds she has been trying to gain for about six years. So you can see that you certainly fed us well. I've had breakfast every morning, and the food here is just wonderful. It's as nice living here as I ever thought it would be and even more so.

I found a sweater for [Boverie] which I am sending to you. I was going to get another, but I thought I'd better wait and see how he liked this one and if it fitted him. The other one I was going to send is green, but they also have some beige and dark red ones. They are not all the same, but they are all very nice. Please let me know what he thinks. If he doesn't like it he can send it back to me.

Love to all, Mary.
