Dear Mother and Daddy,
I'm sorry that I didn't write you sooner. I meant to write on Wednesday after something had happened, but I studied all day Wednesday for my English test and then found on Thursday that I was also going to have a German test. So all yesterday I did nothing but study for the two of them. I am certainly glad that they are finished. I didn't feel as though I did to badly on either of them, but I'm also quite sure that I didn't get an A on either of them. In German all we had to do was write down what the Professor dictated in German and then translate it. The English test covered Byron,

Carlyle and Newman. It wasn't a bad test at all, but I think I studied a little to abstractly for it. I got a B on our last German test, but I didn't at all [well] in my English paper. Outside of studying and practicing I really havn't done anything to speak of.
Of course John has been over a couple of times but it seems the more I discourage him the harder he tries. Last Tuesday I thought he'd never come back but he did and I'm going to the movies with him tonight. I'm going out with Bob tomorrow, just what we are going to do, I have no idea, but I think we will probably go to the trach meet in the afternoon and Kay and I think we may have them to dinner here since they have

taken us out to dinner so many times.
I had a very nice trip home on the train. There was nothing to distract me so that I got a lot of good studying done - for once I also slept on the train. I got back to the house about eight o'clock and had breakfast and went to class.
The weather these last few days has been absolutely wonderful and the kind of weather not to study in, but then.
Ruth gave me an adorable pair of pink silk panties, probably because I had her stay at our house. She still talks about the food we had and she made me tell her

everything we'd had to eat last week-end.
If you are planning to come up, any week-end will be fine except the 18th of May; then most of the girls are going to Carmel for the week-end and I would like very much to go with them. Anyway I have three dollars invested in the project.
I'll write again much sooner.
