Dear Mother and Daddy,
The two little boxes came today and I was so thrilled. It was just like getting a new pair of gloves. They certainly look as if they were new. The nightgown is just darling and I can hardly wait to wear it, in fact I don't think that I will wait.
Between going out with Bob and figuring out a law case I had quite a busy week-end. He came down on Friday afternoon which is something very unusual for him, and I had stuck myself away in the library. He hunted around for me for about three hours but he finally got hold of me when I came home for dinner. So I went out to dinner with

him adn then we went to the movies. I spent Saturday morning in the library and in the afternoon we went to the track meet between Stanford and U.C.L.A. which we lost and a baseball game between Stanford and S.C. which we also lost, but that was awfully close. S.C. only won by one point. But I want you to know, we did win our swimming meet by quite a score and the meet was between Stanford, Cal, U.C.L.A. and S.C.; so we have one outstanding team anyway. After the games we came back and got dressed and went out to dinner. I wore my red suit with my beige cashmere sweater. We went to dinner with Kay and Bill and then went to the Spring Show which

is a variety show that they put on here. It was very funny and we all enjoyed it. After that we went to a fance they were having here on campus until it was time to come home. Yesterday we had a picnick at the beach. It was for all the girls in the house and their dates. It was just loads of fun even though it was horribly gloomy and cold and it was absolutely death to go near the water. But we had wonderful food and we all sat around the fire and cooked it.
In between I've been trying to write decisions for two cases. To say the least I don't know anything about it. I finally got one done, but I'm far from satisfied and yet I don't know what

to do about it. I guess I shall just have to wait and see how they turn out. The next case is much harder and I have to start reading other cases to see how to figure it out. Some how I feel it is going to give me even more trouble. I also had to do a paper for English last Friday and I don't think it was very good although I did my best. It isn't that I can't write them, I just don't seem to make the proper analysises. I'd better go and see now what I can do with my second case.
