Dear Mother and Daddy,

I just got back my law paper and my law test and to say the least I am quite discouraged. I felt as though I had gotten the point of them pretty well , but it was evident that I didn't at all. I really don't think that I shall get an F. But anything from there on up is probable. Maybe I shouldn't take such hard courses. I really don't know what the grades were. But the test was three points below class average and the paper must have been one or two points below; however I certainly know enought to know hat neither was very good.

I had a lovely time with Bob last weekend, but that was the last time I'm going

to see him. He left me with the impression that he would probably come down to see me this summer. We had dinner with Kay and Bill and another couple in the city at a divine place. It was at the Plaza hotel and everything was quite plush. Then we saw the Vagabond King and I liked it even better than when I saw it before. It is still my favorite.

Juniors were finished the Seniors gave a skit about what was going to happen to them in about fifty years from now and then they read their class wills. Every senior leaves a bunch of silly things to all the different girls. Then they gave their present to the house. Then of course the big excitement came when one of the girls, [Charmian?] [Kolar?] announed the engagement. Usually someone will at senior breakfast, but it was a complete surprise this time even though it was the expected day. [Charmian?] was the only person who was likely to and she killed that possibility so we thought when we were eating breakfast by making a little announcement that she was pinned; but then

after everything was through and the Sophomores - our little duty for senior breakfast - were washing the dishes, the candy arrived at the front door, and everybody carried on for about half and hour. She had a very lovely engagement party that night which Bob and I went to. I spent the rest of the day with Bob. We had a little picnic and then we went out to dinner. We went alone, but happened to meet Bud Spiegl and Virginia Walker there so we all ate together, and then we went to the engagement party. Now all I have to do for the rest of the quarter is study. I shall probably be sending home some more things, so don't be surprised at what arrives.

Love to all, Mary
