Dear Mother and Daddy,

I finally got my program all arranged. I went to see my advisor very early Tuesday morning; so that I didn't have to wait long to see him at all. There were only two people ahead of me. He was my favorite professor, so I thought I would enjoy talking to him. But he laid me flat on the floor. I told him I had thought of applying for law school, and he seemed to think I was only fooling. I don't have a bad average when you take my grades as a whole, but when you boil them down, all my worst grades are in my major which doesn't look very good. He told me just exactly what I should take to get in law school, but I couldn't possibly be ready to go in my senior year, and three years of graduate work seems like sort of a lot. Anyway I'm taking what he told me to; that amounts to three more five unit courses - Economics, a rather extensive course in American history, and International Law. I have already been to the last two classes and they both sound as though they will be very interesting. Economics I feel will be very dry. Unfortunately I wasn't able to arrange my classes very conveniently, but that really doesn't matter. I have five eight o'clocks, four ten o'clocks, and five two o'clocks. I am also going to take dry skiing. As yet, I haven't seen about the music teacher, but I am going up this afternoon to make an appointment with him.

You have no idea how much bigger this school has gotten. All those students that you saw Monday morning were just a few. When I went down on Tuesday morning, there were two or three rows of people lined the whole length off the school. Everywhere you go the lines are just tremendous, especially in the book store; so that no more people can come in. And they have policemen stationed all over to regulate the lines. I was very lucky and didn't have to stand in any, except at the bookstore. I made sure just what I had to do and where I had to go, and I got through very fast, compared to what all the

other people had to go through.

There are so many people that are back too. I don't think I did anything yesterday but talk to people who had been away and have come back. I also saw Sandy Power, who was the boy from Webb I went out with a few times. I was very surprised to see him. Of course I have seen my Delt friend regularly, and we both laugh everytime, but as yet we haven't spoken. This room I have is going to disasterous. There is always something interesting going on outside, and I'm afraid I'm going to spend half of my time hanging out the window. I must take to studying in the library. All the girls in the house are just as cute as ever, ad I feel as though I belong more, now that I am an old girl instead of a new one.

Last night was the Reg. dance, and of course I went with Bob. He also took me out to dinner. I really wasn't very pleased to see him, and I didn't have too good a time at the dance eitehr. He just doesn't seem interested in making conversation any more at all. I want very much to go out with some other boys, if I get the chance.

As you have probably realized, you went off with my little overnight case. I would really appreciate it if you would send it as soon as would be convenient for you because it has all my toilet articles in it, and I sort of need them. Also you do not need to send the dresser scarf, because one of the girls gave me something to use that looks cute in the room.

I hope the last part of your trip was as much fun as the first part. Everyone is absolutely mad for my hat, and I have to try it on for every one that comes in the room.

Love, Mary

P.S. I'm sorry this typing is so awful but I never will get to type well if I don't practice and letters are as good as anything to practice on.
