Dear Mother and Daddy,

I got my Economics test back, and despite the fact that I didn't do one-third of the test, I was still able to make class average. Under the circumstances, I was very pleased. If I just don't have to have any more like that I will still be able to get a fairly good grade in the course. I also had another quiz in international Law, and out of ten I got eight and three-fourths right; so I guess my studying hasn't been too bad. I am going to have another History test next Tuesday, and am furiously reading up on it. I also have another Economics test next week. My practicing has been going on very well; I practice more and more every day, and hardly a day goes by without one of the girls asking me to play something. They all seem so interested in my music. They always ask me about my lessons and what Dr. Popper said to me, and every Saturday morning a group of them get in Eve's car and take me to Dr. Popper's house. It is very gratifying.

I saw Jack Carpenter for a while last night. They had a little Delt party, which lasted form eight to ten, and again I had a very nice time with him. I also have a date with him this Saturday night. There is going to be a Delt-Beta party at one of the near by country clubs. I certainly wish that Bobbie had decided to come up, and were going to be there. The boy that came to see me on Monday night turned out to be very nice and quite nice looking. His name is Bob Sears and is in first year Law School. I made a date with him for this Friday night. We have been having quite a few exchange dinners with different boys lately. Last night we had one with some boys from the Stanford Village, but it wasn't too successful. Tonight we are having one with the Sigma Chis, which should be much more exciting. Next week we are having one with the S A Es and a masked Halloween party with the Delts, which should be the big party of the year.

I can hardly wait to see Margie. I am so glad that she is finally coming up to stay with me. I only hope that she can spend a little time with me. I know she will have a wonderful time.

Love to all,

Mary
