Dear Mother and Daddy,

I just recieved your letter after having spent a rather gruesome seven hours in the Law library. I was so tired I thought I'd almost rather die than look another law book in the face. In fact I was so dazed when I came home at five-thirty that I sat right in front of Art in the living room talking to Ruth and didnt even see him for ten minutes. Art had come over to get some notes from Joan McDonnaugh and was studying them in the card room. But I was completely revived by your letter, how could I help but be with the news of such a

dress and coat. It was so sweet of you and Margie to get out and hunt them up for me, they sound almost out of this world - and from the second floor! I just couldn't believe my eyes when I read about them. The print sounds very much like a print dress I was crazy about last spring - one that I saw up here. We spent hours, Carol and I, getting dressed and then when the boys finally came we found we had put on the wrong thing and had to make a radical change in about two minutes flat. Saturday night we went with Ted Neil, Judy Peake, and

a few other people to a place called La Donda where you just dance around and play. It's very informal - all you have to wear are skirts and sweaters.

Also on saturday morning we changed our rooms which was by far the most complete mess you have ever seen. I now have a room on the third floor in the front - it is one of my favorite rooms, and is quite clean and neat now, but you should have seen it for a while. On Sunday morning I went to church, but other than that I have spent the rest of the time burried [buried] in my books and glasses. I must go take another look at my law test. Thank you again for the wonderful present. I can hardly wait to see it. Love to all. Mary
