Dear Mother and Daddy -

I'm writing this in corridor meeting when I'm supposed to be listening, but this is the only time I have to write. Finals come in two weeks and I thought that I had three, so I am certainly going to be swamped with work for a while.

I've had a lot of fun this last weekend, but I'm afraid this is going to be the last for a while. They had the Stanford "Gaieties" which is the Stanford variety show on last Friday and Saturday night. I went out with a new man last Friday but I was glad to go out again with Bob on Saturday night. The new one's name was Bud Reagan and is about Sally's size. He was quite a bit older and rather prim, I think I get along better with someone a little younger. He was a graduate and had been in the army a couple of years. The "Gaieties" was awfully good though and so I enjoyed it. I went again on Saturday night but I still enjoyed it since they made different "faux pas"

and I said in very different seat and saw it from a different angle. Afterwards we went to a dance on campus. Yesterday after I went to church I studied all day.

I had another Spanish test today and it was much harder than the ones before, and even though I studied harder for it than I studied for any of the other tests, I doubt if I get to keep up my A-'s.

I would appreciate it if you would send me a new bankbook immediately, because I don't have a cent to my name now (except in the bank - which I can't get to). They'er having a big war bond drive on and I can't buy any - They'er having a big auction tonight for it. I'd finally just about gotten George to ask me out again but they decided to auction him off as a date instead - so I guess that that counts me out again -

I guess there isn't any more news but I'll write again as soon as I can -

Love to all, Mary.
