Dear Mother and Daddy,

I have talked with Bill and he is very glad to have Bobbie stay with him on Friday and Thursday nights. I don't know yet what I will do about Saturday night, but I sure I won't have to worry about finding a place. I'm going down to the registrar's in the morning to make sure he has an appointment. I certainly hope everything turns out all right. The date I got for him is a little tall for him, almost five feet six, but she is very, very pretty and boys always have fun with her. If he doesn't like her, though, or at least appear as though he is having a good time; I'm through

because I shall never get any one he likes.

I had a very nice train trip back. Really nothing happened, but it was very nice. I tried to get some work done, but wasn't very successful. Bob met me at the station. I was certainly surprised to see him there; it was really very nice of him to come, especially since it was raining out and I would have had a little trouble getting back to campus. He took me and another girl back to campus and then he took me out to dinner. It was awfully funny he knew when I was coming since I planned to come back with Bobbie. I was going to give the pin back, but when I got around to it, I didn't feel much like doing it so I didn't.

Sally and I have a pretty good chance of living in the D.G. House next quarter. We drew numbers again. This time I picked the number and got 8, which is quite low. Ruth drew with Jane Smith and didn't get a low number so they are going to stay here. If Sally and I don't get in the D.G. house we will probably live here again. I want to live in the D.G. house very much, but I hate so much to leave Ruth here, especially since she doesn't like it very well. Her mother was a D.G. here and she has always wanted to be one here too; when they didn't have them of course she wanted to live in the house, long before we ever thought of it. Now it seems that everyone

but Ruth, who instigated the whole plan is going to be living there. It doesn't seem quite fair, although it certainly isn't our fault she hasn't drawn one. Anyway there is still more a chance that we won't get in, but we have a good enough chance to try for it anyway. I'll know on next Tuesday.

I had a political science test yesterday and this time I know I didn't do too well. It makes me mad when I think that the main reason was I didn't have enough time. But I guess I can't always be as lucky as I was before Thanksgiving.

Love to all, Mary -
