the track.

We spent part of Sat. morning listening to
Chick's new amplifier & tuner, also some of her
new records. I wish I had more time for music
right now, but if I had time for all the things
I'd like to do, I wouldn't have time to enjoy them.
Sun. we went to mass early for a change, & spent
the rest of the morning cleaning house &
rearranging furniture. We found a brand new
arrangement that his mother had never tried
before. She really liked it when she got home.
I spent most of this morning reprimanding
Jeff, who is on a restricted diet since he has
grown from a glutton into a fat glutton. He's
almost as much [fran?] as he is trouble, or maybe
it should be the other way around.

Tues.
A touch of flu has kept me home from work
this afternoon. Jim took off early & brought me
some ginger ale. We've been admiring a
wonderful ad on the inside back cover of the
latest Post. It's a wonderfully comfortable-
looking room, with a very clever fieldstone
fireplace-barbecue. We're both nutty about
fireplaces and have saved some very
good articles on their design of construction
from Popular Science.

Best to mail this now, so you'll get it for the
weekend. We have no idea when we'll see
you, but we'll be here most of the time this
weekend.
