it to his own satisfaction, & since it's what
he's cut out to do, that won't matter. He's 31,
which isn't really too old. At that, it depends
on the individual, I think. They had plain
gold bands, no engagement ring. It's kind
of funny, but Les & I, who think so divergintly
on everything, & have so little in common,
agreed completely on every aspect of her
wedding, including the groom. Just talking
about it has brought Les & I a lot closer. Just
one thing, her parents reacted beautifully,
but I still don't think that calling them up
a week before the wedding & announcing

they'd never even met, no matter how nice a
guy he is, was not the ideal thing to do. One
thing, if & when, I'll give you fair warning.
I promised Mr. Millett, that, if & when, if I
get disowned, he can give me away. Don't
worry though, if you can't understand your black
sheep, just be tolerant and don't push. It's too
late in life to do any more pushing.

Hope you can read this. I'm sitting at kind of
a weird angle, with my feet up on some shelves.

A couple of weeks ago, I ran into Sally [Cheddy?]
up at Rudy's & passed on Elisa's news of expectation,
only I couldn't remember when
the little blessed event is supposed to arrive.
When?
