Dear Mother, All your little packages arrived safely. Thank you very much. Everything was just right. Thanks also for the letter from Alice. I don't mind if you read it.
My job is really great. They're teaching me new things all the time & it allows me time to do the things I really want to do, on the side -- a luxury which I'm still unused to.
My Mother guppie presented me with a splashing bunch of babies on Sat & we currently have 3 bowls of fish sitting around. When you come up, do bring along a screw-top jar, I'm going to breed the biggest guppy you ever saw. The only trouble is, that for every one I want, I've got to take ten from the stork.
Let me know your plans for Thanksgiving. I guess dinner at my place would be about the best thing. I think Jim's family is kind of expecting me there. I will plan to be with you, first, though, & maybe they will have theirs at a different time. It depends on who gives it. Don't sell that "little birds leaving the nest" stuff short.

Kevin hasn't been around all week. I guess he got a little upset last Sat. night, because I bawled him out. He doesn't really care much about anybody but Kevin. That's okay with me, as long as he doesn't use me or anyone else to his advantage. But he only comes around when he has that on his mind.
Tonite I put a new rear tire & a lower gear on my motorcycle to make it more effective, i.e., safer in the mud & rain. I'm not teasing you, just giving you a little material to me in fostering an objective attitude.
Give my love to Daddy. Grandmother, Cookie & Destiny, & please bring Cookie with you when you come up next.
Joan & Vince never showed, I didn' remember whether you said they were going to, or not.
Is the diaper lift still going on?
