Dear Mother,
Just a short, fast one to ask you to bring along that gold crucifix that I had hung on the wall in my room. Sylvia gave it to me. It was her mother's, & I'm quite fond of it. I want to hang it in She's room. I think you took it down when I was in school. I hope that you can find it. We are assembling all the things we want, to decorate her room. So far, they are spread all over the house, she's still sleeping

with us, & her room is cold & bare of furniture, my junk room, knee-deep in boxes of un-file-ables. It will be nice, if & when we ever finish.
Betty called & said she'd meet your plans but will call us if she can't.
Now I must tackle a mountain of ironing, & this afternoon I'm borrowing a friend's 5 yr. old to help with the housework.
