Dear Folks:

Dick Miles and I just got back from a show and
as it is a little early to turn in I thought I would
drop a line.

I'm beginning to see why I got so tired last year
out for Frosh. The poor devils get worked to death.
Two long hard practices, and what I mean is they
are hard! On the Varsity there is only one practice
and sometimes a morning chalk talk. Some difference.
Then to the new men out for the squad don't get much
work or attention. I got a good workout this afternoon
though, our furst scrumage. I played on the goof field
but had lots of fun.

Poor Paul sure has a tough time, but I guess he
is better fixed than he has been for a long time.
He is a good kid and ought to go places if he has a
chance.

Well, I didn't get as far as I thought I would
in this letter but I can't think of anything to
say so I might as well sign off and go to bed.

No I'm not out of my new stationary yet, but I had
this left over from last year so I thought I might as
well get it used up

Thanks for sending up my cards.

Good night
Dick.
