Hi Darling,
Well, today makes three without a letter from you. I sure hope you're not sick or anything - or too buried under with your 22 units. It's probably just the postman on his regular weekend foul-up, and I won't worry unless he misses me tomorrow too. Maybe it's just as well too, because I don't have time to write your a real long thoughtful letter- just a short loving one (always a loving one, whether short or long). I'm in the process of writing my anthro paper and am counting on finishing it in the 7 or so hours between now and dinner, so that I can get to bed right after dinner, and up at 2 AM or so to write my music paper. Don't know when I"ll study German for Wednesday morning's final, but suppose I can squeeze it in sometime. Figure on Thursday afternoon and evening to recopy the anthro paper (or type as the case maybe). So its a full week to say the least!
I had a very nice visit with the Krauters yesterday afternoon - from 2-6. Just talked about our coming trip- and had coffee and kuchen (5 pieces and 3 cups for me), and then played a game much like our Parchesi. It was a pleasant easy time, and I feel more with each visit like one of the family. They've invited me to stay there any time - if we should come back early from the bike trip, or a weekend, etc. and maybe next quarter I"ll have a chance to do so.
Then at 6 I caught a train to Waiblingen with Nina and Jackie Dewell, to meet Dietrich and go to his house for dinner. He and his younger sister met us at the train and his mother met us at the door. We had a brief chat over vermouth, then at dinner leisurely with much conversation his moster is a school teacher and very nice and quite interesting, as is Dietrich. But we had to leave at 8:15 after almost no time at all, because we all three had much studying to get done. They were understanding though, and we're going in April for perhaps and afternoon and evening- a longer more liesurely visit. We walked back to the train station and after waiting for the bus at the Beutelsbach station were back up here by 9:15. But I had eaten so much at the two homes that by 10:30 I just gave up and came to bed, with the Anthro paper only 1/3 done. Now after 8 hours sleep and two dull class hours, I'm going to give it another try.
Don't forget, sweetheart, I love you with all my heart, and pray that all is always well with you. And I treasure your wonderous love in return and know that you are with me, in my heart, even when the mailbox is empty, And soon I can hold you in my arms and rest your head on my shoulder, your cheek against mine, and be perfectly still and completely happy again. I do love you so much my darling.
Always and forever,
Your George
