After marching around the
"quad" for some time, they all
went to the boy's gymnasium
and listened to speeches from Dr.
Jordan and others. After that
we went back to to the "quad"
and saw the fireworks and
the electrical display. We were
then invited to Palo Alto but
my weary feet refused to carry
me any farther so I came
home and went to bed.

Yesterday morning when
we looked around we found
some wonderful tranforma
tions. '96 was written in bold
relief in the quadrangle and
the post office formerly white had assumed a liberal coat
of red paint during the night
