Well, back in London again, and I've come to a decision - the question is no longer if I'm coming back, but when and how, and for how long. I'm going to go through withdrawal on the plane, but I guess you have [to?] put up with such things whether you like it or not. It's funny, I'll be here almost a full week, and I have twice as many things to do as time to do them in, especially the plays. Well, I finished the National [Gallery?] yesterday, finally [while?] Jules did other things [then?] Browning Version and Harliquinade by Terrence Rattigan last night, tour of the NAtional Theatre today then the Portrait Gallery and The Elephant Man tonight. Don't know exactly what's next, we haven't discussed it yet, but we'll be staying with a guy from [Tours?] last quarter who's working for Merrill Lynch (floor space is very cheap) London for the summer. Have to run to Maidenhead to get money tomorrow. I really HATE this bank system, I can only get my money from one branch of that bank and since I got money for Jules last week when I thought I was going back to Cliveden anyway I can't get any from American Express .. what a hassle! Finally got good weather here too, and all my cool clothes are locked up at Cliveden. Just not the lucky type I guess. See you in a couple of weeks. Vickie

Hello Again

We're [sitting?] here at the intermission of A Life by Hugh Leonard at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin and I thought I'd write before I forgot or drifted off or fell asleep standing up- all quite possible at this moment. Went to Trinity College today - beautiful grey stone buildings and a WONDERFUL library with all kinds of beautiful old books and wood panelling - not to mention that from which this is taken. No success yet in finding [traces?] of the old family name - no McCoys seem to have existed here (or at least in name listings) but it's kind of fun to try. Got more rain today, soaked as usual, but saw a great town called Howth (Hoth) and some beautiful scenery. Tomorrow we're off to Killarny and environs and then another stop or two before we have to leave. Birthday went well, clear day in London (a miracle!). Tea at the Ritz courtesy of Julie (so much fun!) much wandering and a performance of Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (not bad at all I must say) - play turned out to be REALLY GOOD, the author is fantastic! See you soon.
