11:00 Go out to Midnight Sun, but nothing much happens so I go

12:00 By Badlands and run into Mark Schonberg whom I had seen at Mid. Sun. We talked and he was friendly since I was lonely from having dinner (and gas pains) by myself, and from going out to airport, we went home together, and it was fun but I had to

1:15 Drive him home late. Tired

1:30 To bed

7:10 Woke up + didn't feel to bad so I immediately go on my way.

8:30 Drive out Oakland Bridge and down 580 and 132 to Modesto where I got some cash at Bank. Remember arch over street "Water Wealth in Health" but friendly tellers. Not much of a city though. Continued driving to Merced on 99 ever since mid way on 580, the land was flat, undeveloped and the sky hazy + smoggy.

11:30 My mind tuned out until after Merced when land became foothills and sky became clear. It was a very nice drive

1:15 And I arrived at Yosemite and had lunch in the cafeteria.

2:15 After checking into room I hiked from Yosemite Falls all the way to where Merced crosses bike path. (Thought about disadvatanges of having non prof'l for boyfriend.) I saw deer and the wonderful Ahwhanee Hotel. But it became cool and I had on only a shirt so I walked back to hotel and drove to Camp Mery and walked a bit there then in room I read Maclaine and had dinner with with Roger + Jan
