6:15 Dinner at Portofino on 15th. A little stuffy.

7:15 Go for walk (long) in V. Park.

Think about why I stayed at Microsoft and Seattle from July 1-Dec 1 '85.

Probably mostly to see Pers Acct all the way through to the end, and after that, to get all my cheap options vested. But by Nov 15, I was hooked on AT, EGA, Windows, and learning all about spreadsheets.

So I have stayed on after that as my 1986 diaries account.

The Apple writer report I wrote at year end 1985 about Aug-Dec '85 sure is a help in this regard.

8:00 Come home and read yearend 85 report, and make cider + Amaretto + Whipped Cream.

8:30 And of course I stayed through the end of 1986 to finish the sheet interface and have stayed this year because I want to see the end of Works development, and beginning of OS/2.

Also I have to admit that I need $$, but that goes away May 18. I've also wanted to wrap up taxes for 1986 and my relationship with Bob Browning.

8:45 I have reviewed each of the three 2-year periods today because in April '83 I remarked how the Winter was past and so did I April 85. CLOSURE.

Even though I notice that now too, I don't feel like it was over before I knew it. Those winters I was hard at work on my personal finances, and didn't even ski at all in 84-85.

This past winter was not so bad though.
