This is the last chance to say anything to you before you sail. I have had it in my heart all week to write a short letter for each day of your voyage. But confusion, confusion. Anyhow, I can give you my blessing, as I shall each day, as I think of you at night. I can feel your nearness to me when all is quiet.

Each day you are on the boat, read this wonderful 91st psalm. There is assurance and protection in every line.

And now my son, God's blessing abide with you all the way.
