Rain and my cold not
improved. Spat and I went
to the Opera to meet
our ["Girls"?] at 11:30. Then
took a taxi to Maxims.
Some swell party. Everything
just right. Cream soup
w plenty of greens [chopt?]
in. Fillet of sole, steak
and kidney pie, tarts,
black coffee and Pall malls.
Sauterne to drink.
Including tips 79 fr.

down the Champs Elysees
