tentative plans are to return home to get acquainted with my family, Virginia and two children Donald and Joanne; adjust to the new "stateside" environment; and then possibly to return to Stanford for a year of post graduate work.

As a former employee of the Yosemite Park and Curry Co, I send kindest thoughts and warmest greetings to you and Mrs. Tressider.

Sincerely, Arnold G. Applegarth Lt. U.S.NR.

P.S. The Bureau of Records at Stanford have me recorded as a S/Sgt. In January, 1943 I left the army to accept a commission in the Navy. For your records I am now a Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve, and will soon become a civilian again.
