Dr. Donald B. Tresidder Pres. Stanford University, California

Dear Dr. Tressider, This is in answer to your kind inquiry of last March concerning post-war plans of returning veterans. Hope my information can be of value to you, late though it is.

I do plan to return to my studies at Stanford just as soon as I am discharged from the army and wish to continue my pre-legal work from where I stopped when I left school, perhaps back-tracking slightly to ensure a good start. I am well satisfied with the content, method and time requirements just as they were when I was last enrolled, for a student could then speed up his education by going to school during his summer vacation, or acquire it in the pre-war manner, whichever he preferred. And the contents and requirements would remain unchanged.

I will require nothing in the way of housing accommodations because I live in Palo Alto. However, I might live at my fraternity house, Alpha Delta Phi, if it is again operating.

As far as extra-curricular activities are concerned, I think they should be as before. I don't want to be treated as a war veteran - I only want to wear an old pair of slacks and a comfortable sweater, and be one of the many who make up the great Stanford student body.

And I hope it won't be so very long before I'm back with you, sitting on the steps of the English corner or catching a few winks in the ["Libe"?] or even studying a bit now and then.

Sincerely, Lt. Bob Blatt G-928336 CoE 262 Inf APO 454 c/o Postmaster, N.Y. N.Y.
