PRESIDENT'S OFFICE

MR. D.B. Tressider
President
Stanford University

Dear Sir:

I received your most welcome letter addressed
to Stanford's Alumni in the service.

Since I left Stanford I have really
been able to see and realize what a good
education means to a man. I plan and
hope to be able to return to Stanford as
soon as this war is over!

What I want is some course of study
that will help me later in the insurance
and Real Estate business. Most of all I
hope Stanford offers some good practical
courses that will help me in these lines.
Something that can be used after I finish
school. I think the University committee
for shaping veterans programs is a fine
thing. I know I can use their help.

I'll be married when I return and
so plan to live off campus. Under these
conditions I believe I can get the best
out of my studies.

These are my ideas as you asked for
them. Thank you very much for your
interest in what the serviceman wants.
