I am glad to reply to your letter to Stanford alumni in military service.
I do plan to return to Stanford after completion of military service. I hope to pursue a course leading to a bachelor of arts degree in the School of Humanities, which I hope will assume the prominence it deserves in view of our critical participation in world affairs. I imagine that I will want to live with my prewar schoolmates without regard to previous affiliations.
