Across the Po
Dear Sir,
Received your wonderful letter quite some time
ago but due to the new Fifth Army offensive was unable
to answer it.
We have but a few moments to write this letter
consequently it will not be lengthy.
If you happen to see Luggi Foegger give him our
regards and tell him the boys came through with
flying colors. Our battalion was the first to cross the
Po River.
We are awaiting with great anxiety for the day when
we can enter Stanford University. From all indications
here on the front it may not be but a few short weeks.
Until then we remain.
Sincerely,
Ray Farley
