[typed letterhead] 2nd Lt. Donald C. Campbell 0-2064835 65th Bomb. Sqdn; 43rd Bomb. Group (H) APO 74, c/o Postmaster, San Francisco

Sir:

Half a world away from Stanford, here in the Philippines; nevertheless it holds a predominant place in my planning for my immidate post war life. In that connection permit me to offer my answers to the questions in your recent letter.

As I have said, I do intend to return to my studies at Stanford, and my demands of my course as far as curriculum, methods of teaching and time requirements would be the same as before the war, and with the aid of the G.I. Bill of Rights. I hope to be able to participate in a program of extra-curricular activities of the same type as carried on

at Stanford before the war.

My present unmarried state I trust will be rememdied before the completion of my work at Stanford, and my one suggestion might be that living quarters for young married couples of limited means should be made more available on the campus and nearby in order to accomodate what I believe will - at least for a few years - be a greater proportion of married students than existed before the war.

Wherever I go in this Pacific war, I am continually meeting Stanford men, and I know that all with whom I have talked are anxious to return to Stanfod. May God grant that the opportunity will soon be ours.
