Dear Sir,

In reply to your inquiry of Stanford Alumni as to their
views on Post War Education with reference to veterans.

I plan to go to a University for a year after relief from
active duty for post graduate studies. I personally think that
the level of Universities should not be lowered to accomodate any
small special group. It would be doing the veteran a favor to
be treated exactly the same as other students except in the case of
disabled veterans.

Courses of instruction in the Army have, of necessity to attain
the maximum speed in producing technicians and specialists, been
somewhat superficial. The great Univesities must reverse this
trend and train their students in a thorough manner for the
difficult duties of citizens.

I have often thought of the pleasant years spent
"On the Farm".

Sincerely yours
Beckwith B. Clark
