Dear Sir Received your letter today and was very glad to hear the latest news from the "farm". [Its?] good to know that our friends back home are still thinking of us.
I was in the class of 45 & would have been graduating most probably this June had not this "affair" interfered. Consequently I am looking forward to returning to Stanford after the war & taking up where I left off to obtain my degree.I do not know all the details of the Soldiers' Bill of Rights but I understand it will apply in these cases. Hope to continue in the economics department although I believe i'll the unit for graduation before I have enough for an economics major. Naturally - the courses that would be of the biggest aid is those of us in the service, in my opinion, would be courses in readjustment & how to plan for our careers as a civilian in a post-war world, with the special problems it will present. This particularly interests me in the business fields as that

is the [one &?] effect to enter. I think the idea of the 4 quaters per year as a good one & should be continued after the war as most of us will probably be anxious to get started in our life's work as soon as possible.
Again, many thanks for your letter. I hope the time will not be too long before we may return home to our normal life & most especially to the many happy memories & days spent "in the [quad?]"
