Dear Mr Tresidder,

Your letter was sincerely appreciated by myself and others of the alumni that I have contacted recently. It is decidedly gratifying to know our future is of interest to those who can be of the most service to us in the immediate post-war period.

Concrete suggestions are hard to offer when all contact with the University world is lost such as it is when one is underway at sea all the time. However, I can answer your questions as they apply to myself.
