Dear James,
I have just received your
letter dated 6th Aug - [August]
Question 1. How are you?
Ansr [answer] - Pretty well considering.
Quest [Question] 2. What did you do?
Ansr [answer] - Put a shepherd with William's
sheep; agreed with a man to Plough
sow and Harrow 7 acres of ground -
settled with Harris to give up the
sheep next January - put up some
brush stock yards for the horses -
assisted J. Walker to break in 2 or
3 Horses etc etc etc
