My dear James,
The reason why I am writing to
you the beginning of this week instead of the end
is to tell you that there is to be a meeting about
the Mission on Wednesday week (Nov [November] 20th) and [indecipherable]
is very anxious for you to come down to it, She
thinks you might bring Fanny as far as [indecipherable]
because it would be "ridiculous, absurd" for her
to think of coming down and returning in the
same week. She must pay us a long visit
