[The following note added later]
Rev. [Reverend] H. H. Bobart was headmaster of Kings School
for a little over a year, from some time in 1853
to June 1854 when he died at the School; hence
this letter must have been writen in the
early part of 1853. (E. E. Small Libr. [Library] Assistant)

My dear James
Mama wishes me to write
and tell you that Charles Cowper
is going to school next Monday
the 21st Mr Bobart is to open this
school so we have been told, and
we wish you to send down Charley
and James as soon as possible.
I think she is more hopeful
of seeing you now than ever, for
Mama has almost made up her
mind to go up in the carriage
instead of the gig and George
will drive us, that will be
more pleasant for M. [Mama]
