He is of respectable parents who are now no more and is I am informed properly recommended to the Governor, Lea[?] Bele and several other Gentlemen. As he was coming so near I have taken the liberty of introducing him to you& think from the little I have seen of him that he may prove an acquisition to our Society in the Colony - Whether his expec tation will succeeed time alone will tell. I wish him every success should he Our old acquaintenance is not to br forgot for you the friend of my youth; the joyful smile has covered my brow - for you my Brother in adversity & sorrow my bosom has felt the friendly pang For your smile I endeavour to raise the heartfelt prayer that grace & peace may be afforded in every time of your distress
