March 4th 1817 Dear Geo? Very Dear Brother

As it has pleased God in his infinight mercy to open a way for your leaving us, to enter into a more Important work, and in to a different spheeer of life that of the Ministry of his ever lasting Covenant - humbly pray that you may be kept through every temptation and may you be bplessed with every Gospel Blessing and be brought through more than concorn in the Lord Jesus Christ; in whom I hope we may be in able to put our trust and confidence in all time of Adversity and Pleasure - Go Forward Dea Brother do-do not for get the most unworthyes of man Kind get a thrones of Grace - Pray God for me even on the migh ty Ocien we know that there is a God hearing and a God answering prayer and have no doubt that he has heard our prayers before now for each other and will again I have no doubt if we only ?

fervently and with singleness of heat to his mercy seat - this I hope is the case with you - and may it be so with this poor shaddow - do I say a shaddow - yess truly it is no more - but if it should please the Almighty ruler of al lhearts to change this hard and rebellious one of mine and to grant in exchange a heart of flesh filled with meekness and heavenly love what a blessing will it be to those dear little Children you have been the Instrument in the Hand of God of collecting together from time to time and have now left behind among ravening folnes (if I may so say) pray fo rme and for our Dear Brother and Sister teachers that the Lord will go on and work out that which is be gun in much weekness amd "who Shall let or Hinder" none- Peraps you and I may neve meet mor on this earth ly Ball - but should this be the case hope and trus that we may be permitted to met around our Hevenly Fathers ?d where parting shall be no more for ever and ever

But on the contra shoul we be spared to injoy the blessing, to see one, that has been brought up in a Land of iniquitty, comeing to us again, with the Gladsome Sound, the truths of the Gospil of Jesus Chris - to proclaim and preach to us poor mortuls - how unspeak able will it be beyond comparrison to those that love the Lord Jesus Christ in sinserity and in truth - was it on any other condition but this alon I think that it woul be more than we could do but since this be the case woud repeat. Go - and the God of Grace and truth Go with you, and crown your labours with abundant success, to promote his blessed truth's and may you be the means in the hand of God to call and awaken some poor benight sinner from the error of his way to call upon the Re deemer in his time of distress ---

We have many trials and tribulations to go throug while we are passing through this Vail of tears there for we both stand in need of strength to inable us to go on in the parth of duty O may we, altho apart in the boddy be constant in prayer be fervant in Spirit waiting on the Lord who allone is able to do us any good who has prom ised that if we serve him in Spirit and truth - and altho our Fatehr and Mother you and all the world Should forsake us he will take us per - Blessed Promis - none than let us Seek him whilst he may be foun and trust him while he is near - and go on rejoicing in his name to whom be all Honor Glory
