Dr. Sir
I promised myself much pleasure in your
company this afternoon agreeable to the appointment
which I made with you but as I am suddenly called
a few miles from town to supply a congregation tomorrow
it will not be possible for me to be with you in the afternoon.
I hope however to return on Monday and will call upon you
either in the Evening of Monday or some time on Tuesday.
I have a small parcel of books for your acceptance the
only token of my respect which in your present circum-
stances may be really useful and these I will endeavour
to forward. I feel much interested on your behalf and
shall not forget you at that throne of Grace to which
we all have access and at which our supplications are heard
May Jesus direct, bless & prosper you and your work is the
sincere and will be the continued desire of
Your brother in Christ
Sam: Burder

this letter is incorrectly cataloged as written from Samuel Burder to Thomas Hassall. https://search.sl.nsw.gov.au/primo-explore/fulldisplay?docid=ADLIB_INDEX150026577&context=L&vid=SLNSW&lang=en_US&search_scope=MOH&adaptor=Local%20Search%20Engine&tab=default_tab&query=any,contains,hassall%20burder%201796&offset=0

it is in fact from George Burder to Rowland Hassall. one of the main proofs of this is that Thomas was born in 1794l
