Dear Sir/
Your kind note of the 17th
I did not receive till yesterday
from some mistake of the Post
[Boys?] - Allow me now, to thank you
for your very particular information
William I have not seen yet,
he wrote me yesterday he would
be home as soon as he possibly
could- he hoped to morrow
but his return to Lampeter
is again uncertain from another
cause on sunday I received a letter
from my Brother (Vicar of
Malton in Yorkshire) saying

Dear Friend
I Recd your short
note consering [concerning] Mr Davis he his [is]
much better but went to the
contry [country] this morning before your
note arived [arrived] I dont know what
Mr Davis's reason can be not to
answer your notes I shall let
you know as soon as he returns
I am very much oblg [obliged] to you for
your readiness to serve us but
at Present Sir we have nothing
to Trouble you with we should
be very glad to see you at Car-
marthen any time you can maake [make]
