My dear Friend, I am very sorry to inform you, that Mr. Smith your overseer, was taken ill yesterday here and is not able to ride home on horseback from his extreme weakness, from loss of blood: Mr. Fitzsimmons says it is from the heat of yesterday and too great an exertion in riding from Sidney: [Sydney] he would be extremely obliged to you if you would send the gig for him to morrow; hoping you and Mrs H [Hassall] and family are quite well Believe me to remain Yours sincerely J A Betts

Macquarie Grove Nov [November] 16th 15 [1815] Sir The Book & watch were delivered by Jones &, at your request I weighed the Cask of Pork this morning which contained 513 lbs, but as it was dripping wet out of the Pickle and a number of tongues in it I think you may call it 500 lb at which quantity I shall account for. It is tolerably good of the sort — James takes 8 oxen belonging to Mr. Chapman & 1 for Major Antil a Welsh Cow and male Calf - for Mr Hassall. Fancut wants an order for £3.– I am Sir your most obedient Humble Servant Jas Bradley
