My dear Mr Hassall

Your very kind letter reached me this morning and I cannot but admire the just appreciation you have formed of our feelings respecting our dear aged Mother's decease — The mere circumstance of her infirmitys requiring our constant attendance, did, indeed, endear her —, (like an infant to its mother,) all the more to her family and caused the void of her loss to be wider, and more
