What fearful floods you have had again, and what a melancholy event the wreck of the Dunbar, among the list of passengers I noticed [Mr?] James' son, but do not see his name again among the deaths, do you know if he was on board? About the same time the Steamer from Maitland was lost thirty one passengers were lost in it, one steamer ran against the other.

Uncle James was thinking of coming in it when he brought Willey back to school, he was here last week, he looks very well and

much pleased with his station — but is fearful of not keeping it long, the land is too good, they had all been ill with colds & fever; the Lloyds were laid up also, we have only had colds

We have had two nice rainy days to revive the farmer, it will do our wheat a great deal of good, the potatoes are just in, and Robert has just finished sowing the Lucerne

We have had flour from James' mill and made bread but the wheat is too small to turn two stones they have to make the buckets larger

The tank has a little water in it and we make a few improvements every week either a ditch or fence or some thing, George has a saw machine for cutting wood, it seems to answer

mounted the filley last Friday, rode it home then to Town on Saturday, and to church on Sunday, I rode young Jenny to church, We have heard nothing of our lost horses, Do not forget the flower seeds could you spare a few cucumbers or melons seeds George has gone to see Charlie for a few days, it will be Tom's birthday tomorrow he is to have a small tea party
little James has not been well, teething he is getting so small,
There is a great talk of having to move the rail way terminus, out to that [indecipherable], you & Robert got out at coming from Melbourne the people are complaining of the sheds being shut up near St Paul's church
How did Charley get on at Bathurst, where is he and how are all your little ones Fanny answer my letter, but if you write that will do as well George desires to be remembered
