[MS 960]
left us my Class is the 2nd I have 10
Children under my care who attend
very regular and I hope they all bear
a great love to the School and to you
like wise we lost a very great Friend
in your beloved Father he reguarly
attended our meetings and when any little
Difficulties arose he was always ready to
assist in setling [settling] them - his Death gave
us a great shock all our family lay
Dangerously ill at the same time with
the same [indecipherable] but are all spared
poor Nancy although in a very suffer^ing^
state is still alive on the 21st of last July
we expected her Departure every moment
your Father said to her well Nancy you
are going to Welcome me to Glory little
did any of us then think that that [word is repeated] ^day^ month
his spirit was to enter into that

[MS 961]
Glory he appeared so much to Desire
your Mother appears to bear his loss with
remarkable fortitude - the similarity
of our situation seems to unite your Sister
Eliza and my self very closely -
my Mother Brother & Sister join
in kind respects -
and belive me to remain dear
Sir yours Respectfully
Hannah P Mason

PS/ Fearful it wants be an intrusion
on Mrs Marsden to inclose another letter
^from^ Mary Ann ^she^ begs her affectionate Love to
to you and hopes she shall always
remimber the last words you said to him
