if possible to write, but the Lord has been pleased to lay me on a bed of affliction, from which through mercy I am just recovering and am writing this on my knees sitting on my bed.  Mrs Nott is well and is writing to Mrs Hassall and purposes to send her something. Since the above was written I have been  inspecting the Cask of pork just as I was to take it on board, the Cap wrote to me and informed me that he could not possiby [fit]​ it for want of room. This is a great loss to me. However I shall not miss any opportunity of sending all that I can
