written yourself or would write refered [referred] me for particulars to your letter. The Cyclops arrived here the beginning of April last at which time Cap. Campble was living here with us having lost his Vessell at Manehe one of the pearl islands in January but the Trial touching there some time afterwards he got a passage down to this Island in her and is now returned to Manehe again with the Cyclops. We are exceedingly apprehensive respecting our Bretheren as they are not yet arrived. Their letters to us by the last mentioned Vessell respecting their expectations of sailing from the Colony in January last. May the Lord disappoint our fears by causing us to see them safe arrive and that speedily / Peace still continues at Tahite and is likely to continue the King having no intentions for War. you write you will inform me of the latest news you have from Urope [Europe] and allso [also] send me if you should have any, a few newspapers of the latest date. Likewise if you will be so kind as to send me the following articles by the first conveyance and put them to my account. Dear Brother//
I wrote to you about a month back by the Brig Trial and now the Cyclops is about to sail from this Harbour in the course of a few days for the Colony. But our anxiety respecting the Brothers increases and we think it almost certain that they are lost if they sailed any thing near the times they mentioned in their letters. But Cap. Campbell is of the opinion that they did not sail in the Bligh and that it is probable they will come out in the Favourite, which has aforded [afforded] us some reason to expect that we may yet see them. Cap. Campbell has had the goodness to take down a small cask of pork, which you be so kind as to receive, and dispose of

He purposes to make a very short stay in the Colony intending to return here immediately and has offered to bring out any thing for us that we might want. you will therefore much oblige me if you will send out by him the Articles which I have already written for, unless a more early conveyence should offer. Should my former letters by any means have miscarried the following are the Articles I am in want of viz 6 Oval looking-glasses, locks and inges for 2 Chests, 2000 Nails suitable to build a boat 2 pair of Breeches or Pantaloons very Strong, [underscored] to work in. By no means neglect sending the above Articles cost what they may, only let them be good.
