Dear Friend

You perhaps will be surprised at the return of our Brother Henry to the Colony so soon, but providence is misterious.

I hope he will succeed in his wishes and speedily return. Cap Stalker anchored here a few days ago, with a cargo of shells from the pearl islands having compleated [completed] his voyage much sooner that he expected and surprised us all by beeing ready to return to the Colony so soon. By him I send you a Cask of Pork in the best order, which you will please to take, and allow me what you think a fair price for it, deducting the amount from

We had not one days foul wind nor one days Calm all the voyage, and Cap W behaved very well and obliging. The death of three of our little number was rather shocking news to us on our first arrival, but all things shall work together for good, if God is glorified that is the greatest possible good.  I must not forget to acknowlege [acknowledge] your kind treatment when in the Colony and my great obligations on that account. if possible to write, but the Lord has been pleased to lay me on a bed of affliction, from which through mercy I am just recovering and am writing this on my knees sitting on my bed Mrs Nott is well and is writing to Mrs Hassall and purposes to send her something. Since the above was written I have been  inspecting the Cask of pork just as I was to take it on board, the Cap wrote to me and informed me that he could not possiby fit it for want of room. This is a great loss to me. However I shall not miss any opportunity of sending all that I can
